Irani was born on 17 September 1983 in Mumbai ( Maharashtra, India ) but did his schooling ( boarding school ) from Ooty ( Tamil Nadu ) for seven years and then graduated from Sydenham College ( Mumbai ). She was very desperate to go for an MBA degree but finally chose the path of becoming an actress. As she born and brought up Indian but used to find some difficulties while pronouncing Hindi words. Due to this, she was seen many times to utter her dialogues improperly while shooting. Sanaya initiated her career as a model but soon got a chance to act in the film "Mehbooba ( 2006 ) "under Yash Raj Films with a cameo. It was her acting debut.
