Mick Schumacher, the son of great Michael Schumacher made his official pre-season test debut in Formula 4 on Wednesday ( 8th of April 2015 ) as he made his first steps towards single-seater racing in 2015 .The 16-year-old, son of seven-time F1 world champion Michael, drew huge media interest to the Oschersleben circuit in Germany as he drove his Van Amersfoort car. The young protege began karting seven years ago, and this year reached the German Formula 4 - a racing category used as a stepping stone by junior drivers.
Mick Schumacher Early Life
Mick was born on 22-03-1999 in Germany to seven-times Formula 1 World Champion Michael Schumacher (father) and European Champion in Western Riding, Corinna Schumacher (mother). He is a German racing driver and started his motorsports career in 2008. Due the huge popularity of his father, he started his career under the pseudonym, Mick Betsch, using the maiden name of his mother. In the year 2011 and 2012, he participated in KF3 class of the ADAC Kart Masters and stood 9th and 7th position there. Again in Euro Wintercup of the KF3 class, he secured 3rd position. In the year 2013, he again stood 3rd in German Junior Kart Championship and the CIK-FIA Super Cup KF juniors. In the year 2014, he used the name Mick Junior and participated for International and National Junior Championships, ending the season 2nd in the German Junior Kart Championship plus the European and World Championships. At the very end of 2014, he accomplished test drives for Jenzer Motorsport in a Formula 4 racing car and finally started his career in formula classes for the first time this year i.e 2015. He raced for Van Amersfoort Racing in the ADAC Formula 4, using the Schumacher name. The entire world is putting an eye on this young champion that whether he will be capable of breaking his father's record or not.
